1500pts Pic Batrep, Dark Eldar vs Space Marines

Introduction: Welcome to a Skaredcast Battle report! I had the pleasure of going down to Sir Games A Lot in Barrie this saturday for a game of 40K. The mission? Annihilation. The deployment? Pitched. This is usually called the good ol 4th edition mission! The table was already layed out when we arrived and we decided that it would do. There is one major houserule in effect, forests block LOS. The Armies: On to the armies, my opponent was Daniel. I Just met him that day and he had just finished a game with his all bike marine list, he was staying for a while and challenged me to another game, as he pulled out another list he had prepared for the day: Space Marines: HQ/ Librarian- Epistolary Avenger Nullzone, Terminator Armour and Storm Shield Elite/ 5 Thunder Hammer Storm Shield Terminators Land Raider Redeemer with a MMelta. Troops/ 10 Man tac squad. Power Fist, MMElta, meltagun Rhino 10 Man tac squad. Power Fist, ML, meltagun Rhino Fast/ Typhoon Speeder Typhoon Speeder Heavy/ Vindicator with Siege Shield Vindicator with Siege Shield 1500pts Dark Eldar Kabal: HQ/ Archon, Agonizer, Shadow Field, Combat Drugs, Phantasm Grenade Launcher Elites/ 4 Incubi in a Venom with Dual Cannons and Grisly Trophies Troops/ 9 Wyches, Hekatrix with agonizer, haywire grenades Raider with Flicker field and grisly trophies 9 Wyches, Hekatrix with agonizer, haywire grenades Raider with Flicker field and grisly trophies 5 Warriors Blaster in venom with dual cannon 5 Warriors Blaster in Raider with FF Fast/ 3 Reaver Jetbikes with a Heatlance 3 Reaver Jetbikes with a Heatlance 5 Scourge with 2 haywire blasters Heavy/ Ravager with Flicker Field Ravager with Flicker Field 1500pts Deployment: The spacemarines won the roll to go first. And decided to take the first turn, he deployed in a very balanced fashion with a heavier force towards his fight flank. Because of the sparcity of terrain on the table, and because this was a tournament practice game the Dark Eldar reserved everything. Fincast Woes

Uriens Cultural Exchange

Dark Eldar army list. I shall be playing a Tau player next week, a rematch for this weeks game (I shall post the youtube video of the game soon).

So I thought that I would make a fluff list, as he is preparing his list for this game as well with a theme.

And who better to play the tau that Urien? After all, the tau do have a bone to pick with him... literally. So here is a preliminary list, I am currently building and going to paint all the models to a three colour minimum for this game:

HQ/ Urien Elites/ 3 Grotesques- Aberration, Scissor hands, liquifier, +1 str upgrade for all. - 155pts Raider with a FF 5 Mandrakes (just bought them and against tau I would LOVE to have something outflank) Troops/ 8 Wracks, Acothyst, Scissorhands, Liquifier gun - 115pts Raider with a FF and sails 10 Warriors, Spinter cannon, Blaster, Sybarite - 125pts Raider with a FF 5 Warriors, blaster - 60pts Venom, dual cannon, trophies - 70pts Fast/ 4 Reaver Jetbikes with a Heatlance - 100pts (it added up and made me 1500 on the nose) Heavy/ Ravager 3 lances, FF - 115pts Ravager 3 lances, FF - 115pts Razorwing, splinter cannon, dissies, flicker fiels - 165pts (happy to have this bundle of joy back in the list) Cheers. Anyhow, there are a few things that I am thinking about as well. Dropping a few things maybe adding a couple of wych units in there as well.  Comments much appreciated! Skari- out.

My Raider Conversion: Archon in style

As always if you want to be up to date with my projects check out my main blog and podcast Skared Podcast. Hello all! So, its been a week since I released the podcast. And the site seems to be handling traffic more often now, this means more regular content! This time I wanted to share a WIP project that I have been working on over the last couple of days. I had a ravager sitting in a box, unbuilt and ready to go, but i wanted to do something different. Now, I wanted to convert a centerpiece for my Dark Eldar force and what better than a raider for my HQ to ride on in style? The inspiration for this design was the Dark Eldar Tantalus from forgeworld. The biggest obstacle for me was starting to cut up the model! I wanted to be able to do it and not mess it up horribly. I shall continue to work on this as it gets done. Need to do a lot of greenstuff work on it as well as eventually paint it. But one thing is for sure, my Archon will be riding in style. Cheers! Episode 9 Released - 24th April This week I talk a bit about a tournament I recently went to as well as my involvement with the 40knation. Gaming etiquette is something we should all have in mind when we play this game that relies on social contracts. I discuss list building and the do's and dont's of Gaming, before during and after a game. In international news I discuss Adepticon, the 40K UK GT, and some New releases, can someone say necrons? Update on the Wyches!

So, update on the wyches. They are not done, but playable now at least. The skin is done but still need to work up all the armour, weapons, spikes, do eyes and teeth and earings and other jewelry as well as satchels and grenades and tabards... wow there is a lot of detail on each model!
Took individual pics to show off their poses as each wych is a character themselves. Enjoy and if you do like them check out my other stuff.

There are a few things that I am not sure about, like what colour to do their loincloths... the other colours in the kabal are white and red... so maybe squeeze it in there?
